Tender Loving Canguros is based in Barcelona and covers surrounding areas Sitges, Castelldefels, Costa Brava. Tender Loving Canguros can recommend live-in, holiday nannies to all parts of Spain including Ibiza and other islands.
The highly educated and experienced nannies all speak English and many are native speakers.
We have a good reputation in Barcelona, due in parts to our strict screening process and the friendly, reliable service provided (see Philosophy).
Most of our clients seeking permanent nannies are Catalan families looking for native English speakers. However we also understand the problems facing other multilingual families and can provide nannies speaking Spanish and Catalan, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Danish, Swedish, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew (please enquire about these and other languages spoken).
Due to the high number of talented people on my database the agency has expanded to include more services – TLC Services. On the Domestic side we can now recommend cleaners, caterers, gardeners/DIY and have introduced a Professional Department which can recommend legal services, translators, school teachers, language tutors and admin staff.
After Care
Tender Loving Canguros will give advice regarding contracts, holiday periods and any other liaison issues. The agency fee is not payable until the nanny has started working and the client is happy with their performance. If a client is not happy or the nanny leaves within the first six months, Tender Loving Canguros will provide two substitutes at no extra cost. If at any time the client needs help in liaising with their nanny, Tender Loving Canguros will always be there to help.
Tender Loving Canguros Screening/Selection Process
Childcare
- The candidate must have a solid background in childcare and be able to provide a minimum of two references from permanent childcare positions. Further references are always welcome and checked. The client has access to my reference notes and can speak with references themselves.
- Every candidate is interviewed by Lucie, the Director personally. This is never delegated.
- Only nannies who have worked through the agency on a permanent basis will be sent to babysitting/one-off bookings. Therefore I know the nannies well and their recent and/or current employers too.
TLC Services
